Life is very frail, death very final and murder often a simple crime to commit. Which is perhaps why, such fearful crime fascinates us all. The foulest of murders are the premeditated ones, inspired by greed, envy or hatred and those which are sadistic products of a twisted mind. One of the most difficult things for a columnist to do is to choose a topic to write on amongst many competing issues, more so when you have only one slot in a week. Readers will agree that within the week so many things happen which require critical analysis beyond the ordinary news reporting.
